Excellent video by Aether (@ethereality on Twitter, dhanni66 on YouTube) set to Tension (last song on the album). Impressive work! We are honored that Aether would choose to use one of our songs for this :-D

Bamboo and the Future
Written by Balie Todd

I just found out that apparently we're not dead. We've been dealing with all the wonderful crap that life stuffs in your mouth while you're trying to chew on something else.  I've been sweating and getting sunburnt doing manual labor and trying to keep the kitchen from getting so filthy it grow's enough living things to overpower me once and for all. Who says the music industry has lost it's glamour?  I've also been reading about tarot cards because I was recently told during a tarot reading that I would waste my time reading about tarot cards while not actually believing that you could see the future with them.  I'm still convinced that it's all a coincidence.

Dan is on vacation this week, so he won't be writing one line of code until next Monday.  He's decided to put off planting a bamboo forest behind his house. I'm going to try to convince him to decorate the yard with kudzu instead.  It's not pretty but you have to respect it. Kudzu is adaptable... relentless... indomitable.  It refuses to be denied.  It's the coyote of the plant world. He's also been trying to smoke me out of my own home by frying fish. To his dismay I got low to the ground and managed to live.  The fish turned out to be quite good.

While you're here, if you haven't gotten the free EP, click the music tab if you'd like a few free songs, or you can stream the entire album.

We have glossy CD's now as well. The artwork and package is designed just for you and your loved ones.  Hold our music in your hot little hands.  It's like sparkley sludge that you won't want to wash off.  The disc also makes a great coaster if you need a conversation starter on your coffee table.

Oh, you could also scramble on over to iTunes if you'd like to welcome us there. Night Falls Like a Freight Train is waiting longingly over there just waiting for a kind soul like you to Ping it.

Thanks for showing up here BTW, we're working on music each week, getting closer to releasing new songs and actually playing shows.  My palms are already sweating.  Until soon, take care.

Finally. An Update.
Written by Balie Todd

We know, we know it's been a while since we posted... Here's a brief rundown of what's happening.

We've been writing more music and working on a live show. We've got CD's now. We're on iTunes. We were lucky enough to visit and record a bit in a fantastic studio in Kentucky called Saint-Claire Recording Company.

We just had the great honor of the talented, international artist D'Andhra Bascomb picking some of our music to be featured with her art in the first issue of Compound Magazine, an online visual mix-tape (cool idea).

We will be adding details in the coming days and hope everyone is doing well. Talk soon...

We had some pictures done, and we're very pleased with the results!  Now you can finally put a face (or faces in our case) to the music.  Click on a picture to see a larger version.

Balie is the one on the left.  Daniel is the one on the right.

Enjoying some cool vodka from the vodka-cooler.  (everyone needs a break now and then)

Discs Are Finally Being Duplicated
Written by Daniel Vose

I am pleased to finally have the CDs out for duplication.  Justin did a great job finalizing the artwork, Balie and I scrapped together enough money for 1,000 CDs, and we should have the final product in hand in time for our debut performance at Electro Music in Huguenot, NY.

We entered the Standing Shadows "One Way Ride" Remix Contest on Indaba and placed in the top 4.  Our remix will be featured on Standing Shadows' website (probably in a few days), and is being considered for an EP release this summer.

in the Beginning
Written by Daniel Vose

the Last to Sleep is online at long last.  3,000 years in the making, a budget of $0.27, and the blood sweat and tears of millions have come together in one brilliant flash of destiny to create this majestic website.

After so many sacrifices it would be a sin not to enjoy it.
